An Introduction to the IANG Scheme
Non-local graduates can stay or return to work in Hong Kong under IANG, with different conditions for recent and non-recent graduates, so it helps to understand the route early.

Who qualifies
Non-local students who complete an undergraduate or higher qualification in a full-time, locally-accredited Hong Kong programme may apply to stay or return to work under the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG).
Recent vs non-recent graduates
Applicants who apply within six months of graduation are treated as recent graduates and may be granted stay to job-hunt even without a confirmed offer. Those applying beyond six months are non-recent graduates and generally need a secured job offer before applying.
When to start looking into it
Because the two categories have different conditions, it is worth reviewing the IANG route and its documentation before graduation, so the application timing can be matched to how the job search is progressing.
